The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is an adventurous tour to Mt. Kailash that takes you across some of the most fascinating landscapes in the world. The trip starts from Kathmandu from where he head towards the Tibetan Border into Nyalam in Tibet. The journey then heads towards Saga via the high pass of Lalung-La at 5050m. From there we take a look at some of the best views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal. At our destination we circumambulate Mt. Kailash and tour Mansarovar Lake, both of which hold great natural, cultural and religious significance. The trip takes you on a journey comprising of popular monasteries, pristine lakes, glaciers, rivers, farming valleys and breathtaking scenic mountain views.

The Kailash MansarovarYatra offers you magnificent views of the Tibetan countryside and the Himalayas up close and personal. En route, you will also visit some of the most holiest places other than Mansarovar and Kailash like Zuthulpuk (4760m), also known as the cave of miracles via the via Dolma-la pass at 5,200 m. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Once at Kathmandu you will be greeted by ourMansarovar Tour leader. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 02: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation

Today we will go on sightseeing tour of some of the most famous attractions that are even included in the list of World Heritage Sites including the holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. We will also pay visit another holy site of Budanilkantha. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Kerung.

We set out early for a long drive towards the Chinese border. We cross the friendship bridge and head towards Kerung with all the immigration and customs formalities done. Overnight at guest house in Kerung.

Day 04: Drive from Kerung to Dongba.

We head towards Dongba enjoying spectacular views of Mount Shishapangma (8021 meter) and other high Himalayan mountains. We will also plass by the Pelkhutso Lake (4600 meter)and cross the Brahmaputra river to Saga. Overnight in Dongba.

Day 05: Drive from Dongba to Mansarovar.

Today drive is very beautiful as you are surrounded by the mystical Tibetan countryside. While on route we pass through the Mayum La Pass (5200m) as well. We start seeing first glimpses of Mount Kailash and Mansarovar today. Once at Mansarovar, you can take a holy dip, relax and explore the Mansarovar area. Overnight in Mansarovar.

Day 06: Drive from Mansarovar to Tarchen

We start early to visit the Raksas Lake and complete the sacred rituals of morning bath and puja at Lake Mansarover. After that done we gear up for the MansarovarParikrama with a drive to the base camp for Kailash Parikrama at Tarchen. Overnight in Tarchen.

Day 07: Drive from Tarchen to Tarboche and trek to Dirapuk (4860m) 7 km/ 5 – 6 hrs.

From Tarhchen we take a few hour’s drive to Tarboche, where our Kailash Parikrama begins. The trail is gorgeous and rewarding. We gradually walk along the beautiful rocky cliffs; waterfalls and breathtaking sights of the Kailash Parbat.

Day 08: Dirapuk – Zuthulpuk (4760 m) 9-10 km via Dolma-la pass (5,600 m)

Today we climb the Drolma-la (Dolma-La 18600 ft) and then descent slowy to Zuthulpuk (4760m), also known as the cave of miracles, where legend has it the great Milarepa is supposed to have performed miracles. While on our way to the pass we first cross Yamasthal and then Shivasthal. The top of the pass offers spiritual richness, peace and magnificent views. After making your holiest offerings on the top we head down to Zuthulpuk passing by Parvatisthal and Gauri Kunda. Overnight ant Zuthulpuk.

Day 09: Zuthulpuk – Tarchen (Darchen) 10 km / 4-5 hrs) then drive to Dongba

We do some exploration of the Milarepa cave and then trek to Tarchen.  From we drive back to  Dongba. Overnight in Dongba.

Day 10: Drive from Dongba to Kerung.

We start heading back to Kerung on the same road. Overnight in Kerung.

Day 11: Drive from Kerung to Kathmandu.

Time to relive the journey and not miss out views you might have missed before as we head back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 12: Final departure

It’s time to bid farewell! Our representative will escort you to the airport three hours before the scheduled flight.

  • All participant passport copies should be sent in advance
  • The trip booking is accepted and becomes definite only from the date when the Company sends a confirmation invoice or email. It is at this point that a contract between the Company and the Client comes into existence.
  • Any cancellation by a Client must be made in writing and acknowledged by the Company
  • Free cancellation up to 30 days prior departure, after which the deposit becomes non-refundable.
